I read with interest your July 10th article on employee-employer food fights. I continue to be amazed at how few people in the restaurant industry are aware that, as a result of litigation abuses that occur in our society, more and more companies are turning to a far more civilized model: Alternative Dispute Resolution. Having practiced employment law for more than 30 years, I can state without fear of contradiction that applying our traditional legal adversarial system to workplace disputes between employees and employers rarely is the best means of dispute resolution.
